Materials and Product Description
LIZY KIDS® play mats are manufactured from soft PU (polyurethane) foam and coated with a TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) film.
This material composition ensures that the product is waterproof, odour-free and non-toxic when used as intended.
Care and Maintenance Instructions
The play mat must be cleaned using only water and a mild detergent.
In the case of use involving messy play (including but not limited to water-based paints or playdough), the mat must be cleaned immediately after use to minimise the risk of staining.
A diluted solution (1:1 ratio) of water and child-safe, water-based poster paint is recommended for controlled use.
The use of chemical cleaning agents, solvents, disinfectants or baby wipes is strictly not recommended, as such products may damage the surface and void any applicable warranty.
Usage Restrictions
To ensure product longevity and safety, the following uses are not permitted:
- Outdoor use
- Exposure to high temperatures or direct sunlight
- Contact with sharp or pointed objects (including, but not limited to, high heels, knives, scissors)
- Use of pens, markers or similar products that may cause permanent staining
- Placement of heavy furniture or objects that may result in permanent indentations
- Steam cleaning
- Soaking, submerging or prolonged exposure to water
- Exposure to rain or excessive moisture
- Direct or prolonged contact with heat sources, including radiators or heated flooring
Failure to comply with these restrictions may result in damage to the product.
Damage and Product Suitability
In the event of puncture, tear or surface damage, the play mat is no longer suitable for use in messy or water-based play.
Users must exercise caution when cleaning damaged areas and must prevent water from penetrating the interior of the product.
Light and dark coloured mats are not intended for outdoor use or messy play, as discolouration, yellowing or staining may occur.
Limitation of Liability
LIZY KIDS® shall not be held liable for any damage resulting from improper use, misuse or failure to follow the provided care and usage instructions.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Staining
- Scratches
- Colour fading
- Material deformation
Such conditions are considered normal wear or misuse and are not covered under any warranty.
By purchasing and using this product, the customer acknowledges and agrees to comply with all instructions and limitations stated herein.
Inspection and First Use
Upon receipt of the product, the customer is responsible for:
- Removing all packaging materials prior to use
- Inspecting the product immediately after opening
- Reporting any defects, including tears or stains, within 48 hours of delivery
Failure to report defects within this period may result in the claim being denied.
Before first use:
- Retain the velcro straps for storage or transport
- Roll the mat in the opposite direction of original packaging to reduce creases
- Clean the surface with a damp cloth and allow it to dry fully
